This is what relief looks like. ❤️🐾 Mama and her This is what relief looks like. ❤️🐾 Mama and her eight babies are SAFE. Just a few days ago, they were dumped like they didn’t matter. Left hungry, exposed to the heat, the rain, traffic, and whatever else came their way. Then, as if they hadn’t suffered enough, they were stung by bees and needed immediate medical attention. Today, they’re safe. But being rescued is only the beginning. Now comes the expensive part: medications, vet care, food, deworming, vaccines, flea prevention, bedding, cleaning supplies, and everything else it takes to care for NINE dogs. The people and organizations helping them stepped up because these dogs had nowhere else to go. We couldn’t look away and pretend someone else would handle it. We’re asking you not to look away either. I am absolutely sick over this. Someone dumped a I am absolutely sick over this. Someone dumped a starving mama dog and her NINE puppies on our property. Nine. Tiny. Innocent. Babies. And one exhausted mama who has clearly been doing everything she can to keep them alive. What kind of person does this? First, they fail these animals by not getting them spayed or neutered. Then, instead of taking responsibility, they treat them like garbage and dump them on someone else’s doorstep to figure out. Before anyone says, “Call the shelter,” we already have. We are in Navarro County, where there are virtually no county resources for situations like this. The Corsicana shelter is full and cannot take them. The rescues we’ve contacted are full. Everyone is overwhelmed. And before anyone says, “Keep them,” we can’t. We already have two dogs (one of whom was also dumped and abandoned) and SEVEN cats. We simply do not have the space, resources, or ability to take in ten more animals. So now these poor souls are sitting near the road, exposed to the elements. We left them a huge bowl of food and fresh water because there was no way we could walk away from them hungry. But food isn’t enough. It’s supposed to rain for the next couple of days. It’s already brutally hot. These puppies are miserable. Mama is exhausted. People wonder why shelters and rescues are overflowing. This is why. Animals are not disposable. They are not trash. They are living, breathing creatures who depend entirely on humans to do right by them. Tonight, my heart hurts for this sweet mama and her babies. Five days before her wedding, this bride got the c Five days before her wedding, this bride got the call no one wants. 😳 Her florist backed out, claiming they had “undercharged” her. The options? Pay $800 more, or take a refund and figure out flowers herself with less than a week to go. No flowers. No time. And a wedding that was already paid for and planned down to the last detail. So we got to work. Thankfully florals run in the family and she walked down the aisle with bouquets and arrangements that looked like nothing ever went wrong.
